Rest assured that wherever you choose to take your IDC, you’ll receive top PADI training. Vietnam is still considered a relatively new dive destination in SE Asia, despite the fact that I personally introduced PADI to the Country in the mid 90s. Rainbow Divers and The Rainbow Academy are the longest established PADI Divecentres throughout Vietnam and the only PADI 5 Star, IDCs, CDC + National Geographic Divecentres.
The Country itself is probably still say 10 years behind the developed + over commercialized destinations like Thailand and Egypt. Vietnam does not suffer from the frequent political + military unrest as they do; it is one of the safest countries in Asia! However, all amenities are available in the Country at lower prices experienced in the rest of Asia.
Our IDCs are held in Nha Trang, the diving capital of Vietnam. Rainbow have the only 2 resident English PADI Course Directors and a whole host of experienced instructor-trainers (MIs + IDC Staff) who cover languages including French, Vietnamese, Dutch, Spanish, German + Korean.
Vietnam is not just about the diving and the training; it’s a whole cultural experience! Additionally we’re celebrating our 10th year as Vietnam’s only PADI CDC.
Finally, we never guarantee employment positions for IDC Candidates, but we also never let a great Instructor leave without having first offered a position at one of our 6 centres.
