Here is a select of dive centre problems and enquiries that you may have to take ownership of if you run a dive centre.
Enquiry 1 My name is Max, french and english speaking instructor, currently working in Thailand and looking for a new horizon. I’m a PADI MSDT (nitrox, deep, wreck, photography, dry suit, PPB). I worked in several dive centers around the globe, in small and big dive centers and in a 5* resort as well. I have over 2000 dives and about 100 certifications. Friendly and outgoing, I’m ready to integrate a new working team starting April – May.
Enquiry 2 Happy new year! We are back to Brazil after awesome vacations.We loved our first liveaboard experiences! Than you very much for that. There are some pending points we need to check though. We’ve paid for the nitrox course certification and did the written test. However, we could not dive using nitrox because there were no nitrox tanks available on the boat.In this case, what happens? Are we still going to receive the nitrox certification? Are there any refund for the tanks we didn’t use? How to proceed?
Another thing… When the liveaboard was postponed to the next day, You said you would cover our hotel expenses for that night. I was told to present the receipt to you at the shop, but there was nobody there Thursday 29/12 the whole morning, and we had to leave. I attached the hotel receipt here so we can work this out. I think the best way is to send a PayPal payment to my husband’s account.
Enquiry 3 Sorry to hear about your little mishap with the boat – nightmare! Here is your invoice for David. My colleague has told me that he requires a private guide and that he will pay us 6,000 Baht directly.
His pick up time from the Amari Phuket will be 15:00-15:30 on 7th December. Please call us on if the car does not arrive by, let’s say, 15:45 or you can give him this number to call if you like. Please let me know all of his dive details, cert level and equipment needs please and we will take good care of him. I have also attached this years agency agreement in case you did not receive it – please read carefully and return with appropriate signatures. Enquiry 4 We would like to book dives for three days starting from 23rd to 25th. We are staying in holiday inn express. We are an advanced diver and an open water driver. Please slot as in accordingly. What time do you finish the second dive on Monday the 25th?
Kindly send us an email in confirmation and also what time would the pickup be there at the hotel on 23rd morning.(please note King Cruiser is a 30m dive, you will need to have the 30m licence / experience to go to the king cruiser site)
Prices are 3,800 ThB for the 2 dive day to Phi Phi and 3,900 ThB for the 3 dive days, rental equipment is 500 ThB for a full set, including a dive computer. 15L Tanks are available on board for 300 ThB per day. We can offer Nitrox on boars at 200 ThB per tank.
Snorkelling is 1,800 ThB per person including equipment. Please note Wednesdays and Saturdays are not suitable for snorkelling due to the general conditions and depths of the sites.
Price includes dive guide, light breakfast, buffet lunch, fruits, snacks, tea, coffee and drinking water. Transfers are included from Patong, Kamala, Kata and Karon area’s. We can arrange transfers from other area’s at an extra cost. Package rates start from 2 days with 5% discount on the trip cost, 3 days is 10% up to 5 day packages. If you book a 3 day or more package we can offer the SSI Nitrox diver speciality course for 1,000 ThB per person, normal price is 10,500 ThB. Most days we will have a photographer on board who will take photos both above and below the water, these will be available after a few days for all guests to download at no extra charge. We can also offer liveaboard trips throughout the High season on our own boat, M/V Scuba Adventure, if you want more information on this option please let me know and I can send this to you.
Enquiry 5 I have 4 friends who want to visit your country and partake in a discover scuba dive course in your establishment. How many days can it last as they will arrive 18th June and depart 24th June. I will want you to send me the quote and total cost for the DSD. How do you receive payment?
Enquiry 6 I will be visiting Phuket (Karon beach) from 14-21 April. I would like to arrange a Bubblemaker course for my son who is 9years old. He is a strong swimmer and is in good health. I have a Padi open water licence myself. Can you tell me if you offer this course, what are the timings and cost?
Enquiry 7 I’d like to make a booking of 4 or 5 day trips with you guys, starting with Saturday, Mar 25th and from there on. If the schedule on the website is up to day, I’d definitely would like to go on Saturday and Sunday and then possibly Monday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday next week. I hope it’s ok if I make that decision later on during my vacation. I have partial set of equipment, but I’ll need to rent a regulator and a small-sized BCD from your diving center.
